First dives on the Adelaide
First dives on the HMAS Adelaide wreck were on the weekend of 7th to 8th of May. It was great diving despite poor visibility and 8 dives went out each day.

Two Dive Boats Now Operating
We now have two custom built dive boats to service your needs to dive the HMAS Adelaide wreck or other surrounding wrecks and reefs.

Exclusive Mooring at Wreck Site
We have been awarded one of two exclusive moorings made available to local dive shop operators. It is approximately a five minute run to the site of the HMAS Adelaide Dive Wreck.

 FOR YOUR SAFETY PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERRIGAL DIVE CENTRE ‘BOAT DIVING’ PROTOCOL
Please initial each point once understood.

1 - All diving is to be conducted in buddy pairs including accents.

2 - If separation occurs, try for no more than 2 minutes to locate your buddy, if not successful, surface taking all ascent precautions.

3 - It is the policy of Terrigal Dive that diving should be conducted within the no decompression limits of the DCIEM tables or that you should be guided by your computers no decompression limits.

4 - It is the “Boat Rule”, that Before entering the water, you check your air is turned on, your mask is on your face, your regulator is in your mouth and your fins are on.

5 - The dive site and/or plan may be changed at the discretion of the vessel master  and / or divemaster. Please let the crew know if the depth is within your experience range and that you are comfortable with the proposed dive.

6 - Descents are to be made down the anchor line, which is at the bow, the front of the boat.

7 - Please return to and up the anchor line, making a 5min. safety stop at 5 metres.

8 - Ascents are to be made up the anchor line at 9m/min. or as directed by your computer.

9 - On dives of over 30m. there will be an air line with  spare air at 6m.

 10 - Upon reaching the surface, you must give the “I am OK signal” of the arm raised and the  hand touching the top of your head.  Failure to give the correct signal or failure to respond to signals from the boat will result in an attempt to rescue you which can be hazardous to other divers still in the water.

11 - Please be aware of the risks associated with decompression diving and inform the dive master or crew of any unexplained signs or symptoms you may have following a dive.  There is oxygen equipment on board and the crew are trained in first aid.

12 - Do not dive if you have any medical condition or intend to fly within 24 hours after dive

13 - You agree to inform the divemaster when your air supply reaches 100 bar / 1500PSI 

14 - The Divemaster/Guide reserves the right to abort the dive if he or she feels the conditions are unacceptable.

Terrigal Dive Centre and its employees cannot be responsible for your safety or actions once you have left the boat and commenced your dive.
